Sample taking in Can Gio
This March our WaKap-Team visited the region of Can Gio south of HCMC in order to evaluate and assess possible locations for the third pilot plant for desalination of brackish water.
In this region, groundwater and surface water is affected by high salinity caused by seawater intrusion. In this remote area, many islands are lacking access to fresh drinking water, which has to be shipped from mainland generating extra liabilities, increased mantainance efforts and mosst important, extra costs.

By setting up our pilot plant here, we can prove the need for a decentralized and sustainable solution and the feasability of our technology concepts, where fresh water sources are the most vulnerable.
